I love children’s books. Where the Wild Things Are. The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The Cat in the Hat. Basically, anything Little Critter, Berenstain Bears, or Llama Llama.
But there are a ton of really great Bible-based books for toddlers. They’d be perfect to have on stock in your ministry or to give to your families at celebratory moments. Here are a handful of suggestions.
1. Just in Case You Ever Wonder
Max Lucado writes so simply and beautifully - for adults as well as for children. I love this book because it's all about the presence of our good God - who promises to be with us through the good times and the bad.
You can find it here.
2. Who Sang the First Song?
If you don’t know the music of Ellie and Drew Holcomb you’re really missing out. They are an incredible Christian couple making incredible art. I particularly love Ellie’s book, Who Sang the First Song?
It beautifully captures the wonder of creation. It’s whimsical and yet faithful to the glory of God. I love it – and I think you will, too.
You can get it here.
3. God Gave Us You
This book is a sweet reminder that God has given us the little buddies in our lives – including the little buddies we get to love in our children’s ministry. It’s a sobering reminder of the honor it is to love them and a reminder – to them – of how deeply they are loved.
Check it out here.
There you have it - three beautiful, biblically sound books for toddlers. We'd love to hear your favorites, too! Send us an email or post on our Facebook page what your kiddos are loving!
